The EP-12 uses one of the largest drivers in the range at 14.22mm, which is why it delivers noticeably fuller bass than the 10mm models. The 3.5mm plug works with laptops, older phones, in-flight entertainment systems and anything else with a headphone jack — the most universally compatible connector there is.
Good to know: a larger driver moves more air, which generally means more low end. Whether you want that depends on what you listen to: music benefits, but voice-heavy podcasts can sound muddier. If calls matter more than music, the 10mm EP-11 or EP-13 is the better pick.
